Today we are going to Indonesia, specifically the island of Java, to see an amazing picture of the Borobudur Temple. Located in central Java, this stunning UNESCO heritage site is believed to have been built in the 9th century incorporating both Buddhist and Hindu influences.
This photo is a detail from the extensive temple and monument that is Borobudur. There are numerous stupas that house statues of various Buddhas.
