SUNDAY’S SPECIAL SPOT – LIECHTENSTEIN

Tucked in between Switzerland and Austria is the double landlocked principality of Liechtenstein. A small country of 160 sq km/62 sq miles, it lies entirely within the Alps. Despite its small size Liechtenstein is highly industrialized, cultured, and maintains a high standard of living. It holds strong ties with Switzerland yet retains its own identity. Its long history can satisfy the curiosity of many a history buff. The striking nature of the area will certainly be a treat for outdoor enthusiasts. Skiing and snowboarding abounds as does hiking trails of varied difficulty. It seems that there is something for just about everyone.
